“I’ve heard a great deal about you, Fa Mulan. You stole your father’s armor, ran away from home, impersonated a soldier, deceived your commanding officer, dishonored the Chinese Army, destroyed my palace, and… you have saved us all.”

Remember that time Disney made a movie about intercultural unconventional PoC families trying to deal with CPS, unemployment, racism, colonialism, grief, and anger, and nobody was a princess?
I know, it seems pretty improbable.

CAN WE TALK ABOUT HOW EXCITED I AM RIGHT NOW
Yesnowpleaseandthankyou.
I appreciate how Pixar is still making movies for the generation of kids who were around for the first run.
Wonder Woman will not stand for your shaming bullshit
Slut shaming? Not on Wonder Woman’s watch!

A great tribute to Dwayne McDuffie!
“Here’s a tribute illustration I drew after one of my heroes, Dwayne McDuffie, passed away last year.(…)You’ll never be forgotten, Maestro.
RIP.” micQuestionI love Dwayne McDuffie so much.
Same here. He’s an inspiration for all of us. :)
Dammit.
Teen Titans and Static Shock.
Arguably the main reasons why I give DC a chance, to this day. Arguably more than Batman (gasp). Arguably why I even do what I do today, aspire to what I want to be today, play dress-up and read and cry over comics today.
He was an amazing man with amazing works that appealed not only to children, but to all ages, with plots amusing enough to engage little ones, but real and encouraging enough (and not preachy, but still encouraging and moral) to give real heart and depth to a bunch of super-powered, lovable weirdos. I’ll always recommend those shows to any parent or caretaker seeking appropriate, entertaining, and just plain GOOD superhero-themed shows. Guh.
Rest in peace, man. Thank you for everything.
